We found another one of our design build custom projects, a fireplace mantle, a style that is now appearing in the Fall 2023 RH catalog. We designed and built this same style mantle TWO years before this catalog was released.

The secret is out, when building a custom home, we always recommend radiant heat underfoot. This heating system requires a mud job should the homeowner opt for tile flooring. The radiant tube and wire lathe have been laid, now we are doing the mud job followed by the tile.

When considering heat, we always recommend radiant heat to our clients. Here’s why:
◾️more efficient than baseboard or forced hot air as there is less heat loss.
◾️it is preferred for those with allergies as it does not collect and/or distribute dust or allergens around your home.
◾️it is more comfortable underfoot with tile or hardwood as it produces an even gentle warmth underfoot
◾️it is better from a design perspective as it is concealed so you don’t see any unsightly baseboards underfoot.
◾️it is quiet. There is no noise associated with this heating system.

The installation of this floating exterior tile fl

The installation of this floating exterior tile floor went smoothly today. This system is the perfect way to disguise the practical with something beautiful. These tiles float over the fiberglass deck using a system of self leveling pedestals that suspend the tile above the deck allowing for proper drainage. It is also an entirely dry system with very little mess. The end result is a beautiful and elegant floor to compliment the exterior of any home.

The exterior tile has been delivered and we will be installing it on the master deck. We are excited to undertake the install of this flooring system which allows the tile to float above the fiberglass deck. This is both functional and beautiful as it allows for drainage while having the seamless appearance of tile that connects the interior and exterior spaces.

We designed the primary suite bathroom at #theoceansideproject with the focal point in mind. Here the free standing tub takes center stage and to enhance the tub even further we have built an arch niche to store all the pretty things one would need when basking in the luxury of this bath.
